90c is too hot and not ideal. You're not going to do any damage but the GPU is likely not running at its full boost clockspeed at those temperatures.

  • Increase airflow inside the case
  • Clean/dust the GPU cooler
  • Repaste the GPU (assuming the above don't work)

Hi

well that temp is not normal

even under full load

what is your gpu vender and model

like asus strix rtx 2060 or msi ventus?

also does your cases cooling system has decent airflow or not?

is that the regular temp or the hotspot temp

because 90.C for hotspot temp is fine but the regular temp shouldn't be above 80 or 85 max

it's not ideal, a quick google says max temp of 88c for the 2060, but lower would be better. 90c is too high imo, especially if it is consistently at those temps. what is the case, and fan setup?

The airflow is a bit more than decent.

How do you determine that?

To be honest looking at that case it doesn't look like it has good airflow.

A lot of fans doesn't necessarily mean good airflow.

The case has a mesh on the front, so it pulls more air.
1 on back, 2 on top, 5 on front (2 of them in front on the radiator because I have AIO cpu cooler and 2 of them behind the radiator).

Ah ok. Googled it and saw only those with glass on the front.

guessing front are intake and the rest exhaust. Are those at the radiator pushing into the same direction and not fighting each other?

I don't believe that such a relative new card has already bad thermal paste. I mean my 980tis are 6 years old and never exceed 75°C with their original paste.

Fans are good, no problem there. I just changed the thermal paste on my GPU and yes, the temps are better, 76 is like the max but I have 94C on "Memory" and "Hot Spot" of the GPU. Does that have to do with the thermal pads on the GPU?
