I've been looking at upgrades for the 256GB boot SSD I have in my gaming laptop. I've been looking at the WD Blue SN550/Sandisk Ultra, as I've heard great things about it and it's sold at a pretty good price where I live (\~$65 USD) However, for around $14 USD more I can get something like a WD Black SN750 or a Samsung Evo Plus 970. Is the Blue/Ultra worth saving 14 bucks or should I go with a better drive?

What country do you live in? For 14 I do say that the upgrade is worth it, but then again there may be better values where you are.

I"m currently living in Taiwan. The online retailer I'm buying from generally prices their QLC/DRAMless SSDs as low as 50something bucks, while high end models (other than the 970 pro and Intel models) sit at the 75-80 dollar range
