Budget (including currency): 4000€

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: My main game is FFXIV but I also want to play Games like Cyberpunk with high Settings and at least 60FPS. I play on a 1440p Monitor and my 1080 served me very well but it's time to let it rest. I also like to watch Youtube Videos and Twitch Streams on my second Monitor. It's not taxing but I can notice the performance drop a little. I also want to start to Stream a little bit for myself.

Other details: Here's a list of the existing parts that I plan to keep.

My current System is over 4 years old now and I think it's time to upgrade it for future Games and being able to play on high settings on a 1440p Display. I plan to buy this PC and use it for the next ~4 years. I don't plan to get a 4k Display since I bought this MSI Display last year.

Here are the parts that I already picked:  https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/Vj83xc

Now I have some questions:

  • CPU Cooler: Stick with Air Cooling? Get an All-in-one Watercooler? Build custom Watercooling? I would like to build a custom Watercooled System, but I have never done it and I have no idea what I would need to get. So would an AiO be better/easier and give me the same cooling performance? I don't care about noise. Right now I have my CPU and Case Fans set to max RPM and my GPU always runs at least around 50% RPM.
  • Case Fans: It's time to get max performance out of my system so I need the maximum amount of RGB Fans. I think I can get 10x 120mm and 3x140mm RGB fans, right? Now depending on the Cooling for my CPU I would have to get less, because of the Radiator, right? Then I would also need a Controller, which one?
  • Sound: Right now I have an ASUS Phoebus Soundcard. It feels like the Card has a defect. When I set the sample rate and bit depth higher than 16 bit 44100 Hz then I notice some "lags". For example, with higher settings, the Stream latency when watching a Twitch Stream will slowly increase. Same for YT Streams. After a while, the Streams will automatically reload to reduce the latency. I noticed some Audio desyncs in Games like Deus Ex Mankind Divided. It gets worse when I play any game and watch a YT Video or Stream on YT/Twitch. I have the latest working Win 10 Drivers installed.
  • Now since I have Headphones with 250 OHM I need something with Power. The Onboard Soundcard is probably not enough, right? What are my best options?

I would appreciate any tips you have for me to build this System.

Orignal problems -

Orignal Motherboard you chose wasn't great. The B550 Tommahawk has  better VRMS than the X570-A-PRO, and is almost 100 pounds cheaper.
Added an AIO.
Orignal case was horrible overpriced and had terrible aieflow. The 4000D is also by Corsair, has great airflow and thermal performance and is 1/5 the price.
Orignal PSU was unnecessary, as 1200W is a waste. Just get a good 850W for 100 less.

With all savings added a 5950x.

b550 > x570

I tried keeping abit of rgb but i think i failed on that, and i dont suggest swapping the fans on the aio cause you might run into higher temps

Well shit, seems like @Downkey has already demolished my pcpartpicker before i could post it, well if you wanna view mine then its fine but it is def inferior ill tell you that much

Thanks for the replies. I like that case so that's why I picked it. I know there are "better" options with a far better price but I like it. 😄

Well it's not a good case and it's horribly overpriced. I would strongly suggest avoiding it.

I will think about a different case. I want a big tower because I like to have more space in it and because I probably need some space to build a custom Watercooler. And no I don't want to cramp stuff in a smaller case just so I can save a few bucks.

You can check out the 7000D if you want a big case. I hear it's a pretty big case with good airflow:

Case Fan: Corsair iCUE SP120 RGB ELITE 47.7 CFM 120 mm Fan  (€21.98 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Case Fan: Corsair iCUE SP120 RGB ELITE 47.7 CFM 120 mm Fan  (€21.98 @ Amazon Deutschland)

Case Fan: Corsair iCUE SP120 RGB ELITE 47.7 CFM 120 mm Fan  (€21.98 @ Amazon Deutschland)

I added my Soundcard just to see what the estimated wattage would be. I picked the 7000X  because it has 4x 140mm RGB Fans and a Controller so I don't have to get them extra.
