If your getting a workstation for your mom you should focus on more cores rather than stronger cores. Also, why spend such useful money on a SSD that large? save a couple hundred bucks and just get a 256-128GB SSD, in this price range you should be looking for the best bang for your buck. The PSU is way to expensive for the price. You do not want to pay that extra price premium for a fanless power supply because in the longrun it will make no difference I assume that you went for this since it's the only one I could find. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA3KX16D4722&clickid=wJVSie39SyhczQTxBUyiPTonUkTQGezNWwY1xM0&iradid=97618&ircid=2106&irpid=79301&nm_mc=AFC-IR&cm_mmc=AFC-IR-_-na-_-na-_-na The Inwin 901 has no 3.5" drive bays so you'de have to modify it in order for one to fit. While Barracuda's are faster than WD Blues and less expensive than WD Blacks, they are know to fail much more easily. While you won't be able to overclock, it's always nice to have a descently cool and quiet CPU.  There are way too many flaws with the build as it is. Here's what your build would cost. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3mGwV This is my idea. http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/

Second link isn't working properly you copied the wrong link, and the In-win 901 does have 2 3.5 inch drive bays for it and I the sea sonic Power supply is because of the 80Plus Platinum rating and the slimmer cables which will look alot nicer, and your right about a 512GB SSD I am trying to find just the most reliable SSD for her.
