HELP!! Havik 140 Problems

Hi, I just recieved my NZXT Havik 140 today and I installed it, followed all of the directions, and when I try to do a small overclock of 4.2 ghz it skyrockets in like 2 seconds to like 92 C, so I instantly killed prime 95 and let the temps go back down. I am using a i5 3570k, a corsair HX750 psu, MSI Z77A-GD65 mb, 16gb of Kingston HyperX Black RAM, and a gtx 680, all in a Corsair 600T. Someone please help. The idle temps right now are roughly 34 C back at stock settings, even lowering the clock speed and voltage while idling. Thanks

Are you using TIM? The Heatsink must not be making contact with the CPU well. You had to have done something wrong.

Ya, as long as the liquid is moving, and the fan is on, it must be the CPU contact. Did you apply the thermal paste correctly?

Two things immediately come to mind, how you mounted it and/or how you applied the thermal paste. Either one of those done wrong could have horrid consequences.

Also be sure the pump power plug isn't connected to a fan header that has a silence profile on it as it needs to run at 100% at all times.

Well is an air cooler, I'm going to try seeing if there is thermal paste in a descent circle on the heatspreader and I'll review the manual and redo everything.

The CPU itself is likely the source of your trouble. Sorry man.
