Yes! In fact many people use their SSD as a boot drive and a hard drive for mass storage.

I would just run a diagnostic to make sure the old drive is working without any errors and defrag it image.png.4ec5b973b3981646e356b22ac04542a4.png

I was actually trying to defrag it yesterday, but the app doesnt open for me, no matter how many times i open it, or even open it as administrator

well, when you install windows on your ssd and plug your hard drive in, it should hopefully work then.

Since your install might be a bit bugged, I would just install a fresh copy from a usb drive to the ssd.

that is not good, it means your drive might be failing, which usually happens after several years or a lot of use accumulated over time. I would follow the instructions and click the notification to try to repair drive errors, but it might be an error on a hardware level.

I would copy any important files you can't just download off the internet to the SSD ASAP after restarting in case the drive's state gets worse.
