Secure Boot Automatic Repair Loop

Go to solution Solved by DogChamp1160,

Short update, I re-flashed the newest BIOS onto the board. For some reason that started the system again. The PC is now in UEFI+Legacy Mode, with WHQL& Secure Boot turned off. System Information App now shows "UEFI" instead of "Legacy" though.

Kind of inclined to try to turn it on again. 😉 Thanks for reading, hope that helps someone.

Hello everyone,

After watching the Windows11 upgrade video yesterday I went through the steps to activate secure boot on my system to prepare it for Win11.

System: Win10 21H1 64bit, MSI B350M-Artic Mortar, Bios 7A37vAH, Ryzen 1600X, Radeon RX580, Crucial MX500 SSD, 16GB Crucial vengeance RAM 2666 (4x4)

After converting from legacy to UEFI via command prompt I restarted the system and was able to activate secure boot / deactivate CSM. Now the system is showing MSI Automatic Repair for a couple seconds before entering a reboot loop. Switching off secure boot also ends in a boot loop, but without the Automatic Repair screen showing up. Found this issue online, but they fixed it with a windows update, as mentioned above my windows was on the newest update. Anybody with the same issue? Does somebody know how to fix it without reinstalling windows? Thanks a lot for reading and for help in advance.

Greetings from Vienna,

Julian

Can you try re-enabling CSM?
