Old Quadro Compatibility question

Go to solution Solved by iajadsfa,

Ok, cool thanks for the feedback. I guess I just won't bother with it.

In my current system, I have a Asus Tuf X-570 Pro, Ryzen 5 3600, and a gtx 1060 turbo 6gb from Asus. The 1060 is okay but I would like to be able to squeeze as much out of it as possible. My parents had these old Quadro NVS 295 s from 2 HP Z400 workstations. I looked online and found that even though SLI is obviously out of the question it is still possible to move things like PhysX rendering onto the separate Gpu. Problem is that the NVS 295 drivers are way out of date and don't work with windows 10 so I would have to use the basic display drivers. I was just wondering whether or not I would be able to manipulate the NVS 295 through NVIDiA control panel or whether or not I would descend into driver hell.

The NVS 295 does work with Windows 10 (I have two of those cards), but they're extremely weak cards by modern standards. Their usefulness today is basically limited to being used as a display adapter. Don't bother with them.
