How many ram slots.....?

I have an Asus laptop (thin and light)(X510UNR) with 8th gen intel and an MX150 graphics. It has a single 8gb memory stick.

 

Both task manager and CPUID/CPU-z detect 4 ram slots with only one populated. I have previously opened the back panel before for cleaning but i can see only 2 ram slots. How likely is it that, the other 2 ram slots are on the flip-side of motherboard or is this some glitch. How can I check for sure without having to fully take apart my laptop?

Extremely unlikely. Laptops with 4 sodimm slots are very rare.

you're motherboard on that laptop got 2 usable ram slot, the fact that it is showing 4 us because the board was normaly made to have 4 but manifactor cheap out on laptops on only put 2 on it.
