Budget (including currency): 60,000 INR (w/o GPU due to shortage), 90,000 INR (w/GPU)

Country: India

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Main purpose Gaming (the latest singleplayer and multiplayer games), and streaming on Twitch occasionally but isn't a priority

Other details : I already have my old parts from my previous PC but I highly doubt I'll be using any of them except for the power supply. It includes a 1.6ghz Intel dual core processor (lmao), Nvidia 210 graphics card (XDD), 4gb of RAM (which I'll be upgrading), a 1TB HDD, and a 500w power supply. I have a Coolermaster Pro keys L (White LED), and a Logitech G102. I will be playing certain games on 144hz so I am buying a monitor for that.

Here is a list of parts I know are available and am planning to buy next month -

MB: ASRock B450M Steel Legend

Processor: Ryzen 3500 or 3600 (I am not sure which one to buy)

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8gb 3000mhz x2

Monitor: Acer 23.6 inch FHD 144hz monitor (Model - KG241QS)

Case: Corsair Carbide SPEC-05

Case fans and coolers will be bought as needed.

GPU: Nvidia 3060 or an AMD equivalent (whenever available)

`

So I need help with compatibility of these parts, and what better options can you guys suggest if any.

Thank you. ^=^

I’m assuming that >24” means 1080p or less.  More gpu than needed perhaps for that monitor depending on what you want to play. Even a 2060 could be more than enough. A cheaper video card would give you more money for a gpu.  A 3600 will likely have the stuff to play video games whereas a 3500 while it games well now probably won’t. I’d rather have a 3300 than a 3500 to be honest. 4/8 is more likely to be compatible with games for longer than 6/6.  More cores but less threads. If you’re not gaming it might not matter though. 6/6 will play PS4 and XboxONE stuff because while those machines are 8/8 2 cores got closed off from gaming devs so they’re actually both 6/6.  A 3500 looks like it’s nearly as fast as a 3600 as long as you don’t need more than 6 threads.  If you do though things could get sticky fast.  A 3600 will have more future performance than a 3500 even if for a lot of things it isn’t actually faster at the moment. The 4/4 chips have all become problematic to game on but the 4/8s are still soldiering on for the time being.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Thanks for the reply!

So the monitor, I did say its FHD, so it is a monitor with a 1080p res. And the GPU, I'll be lucky if I can secure even a 1080 at this point tbh. The shortage is really bad here. There is a 3rd hand 750ti that someone is selling so maybe I'll get that lmao.

Hmm you wrote a lot about the CPU, and the 4/8 and 6/6 parts I don't really get. XD I'm no computer wiz otherwise I wouldn't be here on this forum asking.

All I want to know is will the 3500 be able to handle streaming or not or should I buy a 3600 for that? Also if my parts are all compatible with each other.

Thank you again for your reply. ^=^

One gets what one can for GPUs thes days so if you can get a 3060 for a decent price it will probably be a better deal than a 750 which was barely a gaming card when it came out many years ago.  3500s arent even sold in my country so all I have to go on is a 3500 is a 3600 with no multithreading. One can stream on Nvidia GPUs that are 2060s or larger with no hit to the cpu at all so a 3500 and a 3060 would stream fine off the GPU’s streaming capacity. I would suggest getting at least a b series motherboard of some sort though because you may want to update that 3500 soonish.

B series motherboard yep, the B450m is good. I did see some cheaper alternatives so I'll be checking those too. Lets just hope I don't have to upgrade the BIOS on these.

Thanks for the help! ^_^
