Then you'll never notice the difference, personally I am not a fan of WD, but this dates back to their HDD days, but the reality is you'll be fine with either one

ive heard good things about samsung but it comes at a price. wd has had issues back in the day but they come at about a $100 less

This is accurate.

But 100$ saved it not small change. If it's just for video games, then that 100$ saved is worth it.
