You’ll need to do a bios update with any 400 series chipset to use a 5000 series processor, and since factory bios versions can’t be guaranteed, they usually just say it’s incompatible to avoid any confusion.

Youd have to potentially do a bios update on the board yourself, which depending on the board can be done with no processor, but many will require an already compatible processor to boot the board and install the update

IMO avoid 400 series boards with Zen3, ideally you want 500 series. There are tons of people who have bugs using 400 series with Zen3.
