Simple inexpensive way to increase wifi speed in large household

I don't have my own internet, and share my landlady's wifi, and between my many devices, and her family, and all of their devices, the wifi was struggling to keep up.

 

Added another wifi router, and set up my devices on the new wifi network, and now my wifi access is blazing fast. Also hardwired my PC and Google Chromecast with Android TV with a gigabit switch, so I can set up lightning fast Steam link to it.

 

Planning to get another wifi router so my landlady and her family can connect their phones/tablets on the new wifi network, and their other devices/television boxes can continue to run on the original wifi network.

 

Presumably, this will only work if one's internet connection is fast enough to feed multiple routers/switches.

 

I thought I'd pass this along, as it turned out to be fairly simple, cheap fix to our achingly slow wifi.
