my g930's that i bought for $100 on boxing day finally broke after 2 years and i need a replacement!
i currently use beyerdynamic custom one pros (which i love) and was wondering if i should just use those as and get an external mic. im in canada so candian links would be apprecited and my preference would be canada computers. Thanks! if its a headset then it will only be used for gaming not movies or music. i have tasted audiophile audio so it is really important for decent sound, not your typical gaming headset sound.

don't think any headset will beat your custom one pros, just go with a mic.

being cheap and lazy about microphones for skype/gaming i'd just get this

Will work for electronic components and parts

The Blu Snowball has good noise isolation, in fact, what direction you want picked up is changeable  :)

PS: I'm pretty jelly of your Custom One Pros, I'd really like a pair of those !

IMO the best way to go is with some nice high quality headphones and pair that with a mic such as the blue snowball, at2020, C01U

Get an external mic. No headset will come close to the sound quality of the Custom one pros.

Also an external mic is cheap and often offer better sound quality than an attached one.

Good luck ;)

Modmic isn't permenant :) its just a tiny little thing that is effectivly taped on strongly. With that the mic is magnetic onto the little piece.
