Oh... well the converter board provided a power cable... I think that's what you mean by power adapter...

In the picture from the eBay listing there is a power supply sitting beside the converter board.

So, I gutted a 24" Mid-2007 iMac and a 2nd generation Apple TV. I wanted to put the Apple TV guts inside the iMac chassis with using the iMac 1920x1200 display. I had taken inspiration from a Luke Miani video when he put the guts of an M1 Mac Mini inside the 2010 iMac. So, he used a converter board specific to his iMac display. I got my converter board off of eBay specific to my iMac display. I've plugged in all my necessary cables from my MacBook to the converter board to the iMac display. HDMI --> USB-C dongle --> converter board --> iMac display. Even though my MacBook recognizes the second display, the display just refuses to wake up. I highly doubt that I've damaged LCD as I've been nothing but careful with it. Any solutions to get the display to work?

On the eBay link I posted, it has a diagram, and it shows the display being powered by the converter board. I'll post pictures of the display when I get to my place.

The board you bought from eBay is not a power supply, and the display has to get power from somewhere. Are you using your own power adapter?

Oh... 😞 Does that mean I need to reuse the iMac power supply?
