I accidentally cut the cpu fan cable (the very small one) of my Corsair icue h100i elite capellix cooler. Can that be fixed?

for some reason the pc will turn on and off if I tilt the computer. What would cause that to happen? ( this would happen before I accidentally cut the cpu fan cable) now that the cable’s been cut it won’t turn on at all. Is the cut cable causing that?

the motherboard (asus rog strix b550-a gaming) light shines orange meaning there’s an issue with the ram. I’ve put them in the 2nd and 4th slots, even switch them around but the light still shines orange.

the front type c port won’t connect to the motherboard. What kind of adapter would I need specifically?

The power led pins would stick into the pins. It stuck in before but now it won’t.

hope to hear anything soon!

As for the tilt that could be a Mercury switch safety feature or it could be a cracked solder joint or something even more strange.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Repair the wire as you would any low voltage DC electrical connection. Strip the severed ends, twist together and wrap with a small piece of electrical tape.

Tilting the system may well cause a short. I would look under the motherboard for a loose screw or metal piece that is moving when the system is tilted. Could also be a loose wire.

How does one sever a small wire? That deserves contemplation.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

That works for low voltage DC which this is. I would modify that to “as you would any low voltage DC connection”.  Do that with household wall current and people could die.
