im wanting to build/buy a home gaming server for a budget for around 10 people playing games such as astroneer, slightly modded minecraft, terraria and gmod

i wanna build/buy it with a budget of around 400-450 AUD and pack in as much performance as possible 

any advice?

Ok now thats just ridicolous, go search for some decomissioned, discarded, or thrown away servers

 

prefferably not someting amd, not something older than lga 771, and dual socket

 

Maybe that will work as a starting point

 

And maybe for servers youve found for free that dont meet those criteria keep em for awhile and maybe theres some that you can sell to add to your budget
