Hey guys yesterday changed thermal pads of sapphire rx 570 nitro plus. The original pads are 0.75 mm thick i got 1.0 mm thick gelid solutions and squshed them little. The thermal paste got left nice mark on the heatsink. Now the idle temps drom from 47 to 35-40 but the load temps got from 78 to low 90 and i think they can go even higher. I have no idea what to do pls help!

Find a way to cut the pads to 0.75mm or go back to the old pads. The extra 0.25mm is moving the cooler away from the GPU die and causing it to not make proper contact.

You could also try to tighten down the cooler even more.

PLEASE STOP [Killing] ME I WILL GIVE Y OU ANOTHER DEAL.

How come you changed the pads? were you getting instability before? Or just wanted to for the hell of it? Are you having instability issues now with it running hotter or working fine just hot?

The old one was prety old they were dust and the gpu heated up. I got the advice to get thermal pads that are softer than this one and try with them. And i will buy thermal grizzly minus pad 8 to try with them. This one are gelid Solutions GP-ULTIMATE 15w and i heard that they are prety hard. So...
