evga supernova ga

I just ordered 2 of these units on sale, a 550 watt and a 650 watt model. https://www.newegg.com/evga-supernova-650-ga-220-ga-0650-x1-650w/p/1HU-00J7-004V5

it seems this model may have trouble with 30 series cards because they trigger the protections, has this issue been fixed and is it widespread? I dont have any 30 series cards and will most likely skip over this generation because i already have decent "older" cards for now. but I dont want trouble down the line.

Yeah.  Those are terrible PSUs.

 

Not even the 750 or 850 work with 30 series cards.

I took a look at that thread, apparently they released a revised model and the ones i bought had the x1 at the end of the model number so I should be ok, and are they really that bad? i bought these to replace some evga white 1 psus i got rid of.

Definitely better than the W1s.
