Mobo questions

Budget (including currency): 170ish US Dollars for the mobo

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming at 1440p, 1080p and higher video editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I have already purchased 16 gb 3600 speed ram

Would this mobo be good enough for my pc and does it come with wifi (wifi is not mandatory since I can use ethernet)

It doesn't have wifi. What would make you think it does? You can read the full specs on MSI's site if Newegg isn't clear.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

What numbers?

You can look at the specs on MSI's site for a board that has wifi, like this one, and there is an entire category called "Wireless LAN and Bluetooth." For the B560 Torpedo, there isn't.

If that isn't simple enough, an additional clue is that pretty much all MSI boards with wifi have... "Wifi" in their names.

@YaBoyAttack

You don't need wifi in a mobo, it's a gimmick. And it's not comparable to an access point made by a specialised company. Wired internet is the best anyway.

You can get an access point later and connect it to your router/modem and get much better coverage than some wifi module which sits somewhere in the PC case.

An access point can be placed in a better spot and give you better wifi coverage than that chip on the motherboard.

The mobo seems OK-ish, it has lots of features, ports.

Maybe check how the BIOS is for MSI boards, to make sure you're not missing something that you know you'll need.

Wifi is kind of nice to have on a small form factor build that might be likely to actually get moved around.

On a tower system that's just going to sit on/under a desk... meh.

@YaBoyAttackAlso, think now, what would you have checked if later it turns out that the mobo has some issues?

Do some internet searches and see if these models have any specific issues reported more often by buyers, so that you won't be sorry later when your system is already built.
