F@H low PPD.

Go to solution Solved by Whaler_99,

Depending on the WU the point numbers can vary quite a bit on both CPU and GPU WU's - so comparing one to another is difficult, unless also looking at the WU and project number and such. Some WU's don't push the GPU very hard and as you have one of the oldest models still somewhat supported, this may explain it. Watch for a couple of WU's and see how it goes.

Depends on the WU, AFAIK.

it very much depends on what wu you are running, you really wont be able to squeese alot of points out of that cpu so it will mostly land on the gpu, 6k doesn't sound all to bad but you should probably be able to get a fair bit more than that with the optimal work units, might also want to run the cards at stock and disable any beta profile if you haven't done that already.

my 7950 can get like 2k or 60k depending on the wu just so you know.

I have another rig with a Q6600 and it gets about 5k no problem also the 5770 says it's at 100% but the temps are only 4 C higher than idle and the fan is only at 45% (old blower style)

nice call, i was going to suggest looking at the gpu usage but i forgot to do so, that does sound abit strange, it wouldn't surprise me if your cpu got around 5k and your gpu was getting 1k ish with a core 15 or 16 unit, but then your gpu usage should have been lower as some of those units aren't optimised that great to the red team so they might leave the gpu at 50-60% load, it is wierd that you are seeing 100% gpu usage but you shouldn't be surprised to see extremely low ppd on pretty much anything besides core 17 units on the gpu.
