Budget (including currency): hopefully below 1750, but max is 2000

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly csgo, valorant, minecraft, and running a program that we use for work to connect to a desktop at out office

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gBL4LP i have this part list picked out but im not sure if its the best, i for sure want a corsair iCue case of some sort and i already have the 1tb ssd on that list along with a mouse and keyboard, the only other peripheral i would need besides a monitor would be a mouse pad but that is not a huge priority. If anyone could help me out with this or give me some advice i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks all, Kris

2060 is not that good, and the 3060 is cheaper (in terms of MSRP). By then the 4060 will be released, so this makes ZERO sense.

He could also afford a 3080 (or by 2022, a 4080) in that budget, that doesn't mean he should get either.

A 2060/3060 is better suited for a $1000 build, not a $1500-$1750 build.

For your budget, a 3070 makes the most sense right now.

Next year when (hopefully) the prices drop, probably the new equivalent to that would make the most sense (likely a 4070).

Are you just waiting for the GPU? Or are you waiting to build the full system?

If so, everyone will be on a new socket and running DDR5 in 2022, so part of my list is irrelevant because the recommendations will be different by then.

im not sure, i really want to build a pc soon but the only non peripheral item i have right now is my ssd, what i thought about doing is just getting a lower quality gpu for right now and running that for awhile until prices drop and i can ghet my hands on another one.

That's what everyone else has been doing already, so I'd recommend doing the same 😁

I've been using an old R9 390X while waiting, it gets the job done for 1080p/Medium settings.

If you can get your hands on something like a GTX 1060 for anything less than $200, that'd be great to hold you over until then.
