Recommendations for multi role server

So im looking to make or buy a cheep multi-role server for minecraft, ark, and as a local file server. My budget is about £200-£300ish i know that is quite tight. Im not after anything super and i know uts probably gona be a refurbished unit of some kind. Im kinda new to it but im thinking Ubuntu and docker for my os thay seem perfect for this.
