Hey guys I've recently just started getting this error whenever I play games or I leave the pc running for an extended period of time, I'd either get a blue screen with the error or my pc would just outright shutdown. So far I've tried reseating the Ram, clearing cmos and resetting windows. Nothing seems to be working so I am asking this forum for help. I'm running a ryzen 5 1400, an asrock b350 hdv, an rx580 and 2x8gb of 3200mhz corsair vengeance lpx ram.

pls help i wanna play some game.

Upload here to this thread, ALL the crash dumps that Windows creates, I can pinpoint what's going on (but in the meantime, test your RAM with MemTest86)

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

The error (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) normally means not enough voltage to your RAM but could also be low voltage to the CPU as well.
Eitherway something is just not getting enough voltage to run properly under load making the system unstable, I say that because that's almost always the case with it.

Do you know how to properly set up the voltage of the ram and cpu? I have that same error and others

Looking at the BIOS you have (From the pic) you'd need to manually set CPU voltage to about 1.27v's - 1.30v's for starters and test. You can do that by selecting "Manual" with the CPU Vcore option set for that and put it there. Depending on the chip it may take a little more or maybe not need quite that much but that's how mine is set.
With every Ryzen chip I've got 1.27v's seems to work fine so you can use that as a starting point.
For RAM, you can also set it manually with the DRAM Voltage set to manual and select about 1.30v's as a starting point and go from there. If after all the errors go away and don't come back, call it done.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey sorry for the late reply but I've had a few exams lately and didn't have the time to mess around with my computer. I finished the memtest and I've attached it below. I've been looking for the crash dumps and it seems that I'm not getting any crash codes. I was getting the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and a WATCDOG_VIOLATION before but I haven't been getting any dump files now. To be honest I've been thinking about upgrading the pc for a while and I have a sneaking suspision that the problem is probably in the motherboard so I might just go out and get the new parts. Thanks for you help
