YouTube reply edit bug?

This is something I'm not too worried about, but I'm just curious if I'm the only one who has this experience:

 

When you reply to someone in the YouTube comments, it's normally fine and your comment is succesfully posted. (and visible when you're not logged in or on a different machine)

 

But when you reply, and then edit your reply, because say you've made a typo, for some reason the reply seems to disappear into the void. (it's only visible when you log in with that account, when you're not logged in it's not there)

 

I'm talking about editing within roughly the first 5 minutes, the kind of situation where you immediately realise your mistake. Not sure if this also happens if you edit after a much longer period.

 

Is this a common thing? Have you seen this happen too?
