The RTX 2070 is compatible with pretty much every board with PCI-E slots from the last decade @Nicholas Rodriguez.

So the answer is: yep, sure can 🙂

Motherboards usually don't limit GPU's, at least not from what I've seen @Nicholas Rodriguez.

Can they limit CPU's and RAM in terms of frequency and overclocking (speaking VERY generally) - yep. But not GPU's.

Thank you I apologize if its a pretty simple question. I'm just trying to get as much information as I need before making ant extreme purchases and this is the best place to go for help on specs and builds 🥰

No problem @Nicholas Rodriguez and it's not a simple or silly question at all. You could even stick an RTX 3090 in there and it would run just fine. Boards tend to not give a darn about which GPU's you stick into them haha 🙂

WITH THAT BEING SAID, you would get limited by e.g. running an RTX 3090 on a board that only supports PCI-E gen. 2.0.

BUT, in your case your board has a nice PCI-E 3.0 x16 slot, so there'd only be a e.g. ~ 2% difference running something like an RTX 3090 on your board than on a newer board with PCI-E gen 4.0 @Nicholas Rodriguez 🙂
