Depends. If it keeps the same panel type, its worth while because even in normal desktop usage the smoother motion does make a difference.

I was looking at monitors for a friend and I just thought to myself is 1080p 60hz still a good monitor choice. Like I understand that most people don't need anything more then 60hz but is it still recommendable when you can spend 50 more and get 1080p 120hz?
