Budget (including currency): 500-1K USD

Country: USA/United States of America

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Blender, Team Fortress 2, Fortnight, Source Film Maker, Minecraft, HitFilm Express/VEGAS Movie Maker

Other details: Current Loadout:

  • Motherbord:  ASRock B250M Pro4
  • CPU:  Intel Pentium G4560 @ 3.50GHz
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
  • Ram: 1x8GB Ballistix @ 1200MHz
  • Power Supply: Corsair CX 450M @ 450W

Coming from this  post I made when I first joined, this was a the potential upgrade path that was shown before I figured out what my power supply was.

  • Motherbord:  ASRock B250M Pro4
  • CPU:  Intel Core i7-7700K
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
  • Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws 2 x 8GB DDR4
  • Power Supply: Corsair CX 450M @ 450W

But I would figure that I would post here in the proper part of the forms for maybe better suggestions from users who enjoy helping other user's upgrade their rigs, as well as the fact that I would like to know what a good radiator would be for my CPU? I wouldn't really be doing anything like over clocking it, but I would like to learn water cooling for 1: The experance, dripping my toes into the world of watercooling and 2: For noise reduction.
The current case I have is the Cooler Master Masterbox 5 which can accept: "240/280mm radiator, up to 50mm thickness withoutfan." For watercooling support.

And also, would anyone possibly have suggestions for headsets, well, headphones really. I have a standalone USB Mic so I wouldn't really need a headset. The current one I'm using is a Beexcellent GM-2 headset which still works fine, but is really starting to show its age. Suggestions for the headsets/headphones can go outside of the budget as I'm in no rush for replacing the one I have right now, but I would like to replace it someday. The only "requirement" I would have for it is to have 3d Audio if that is not already a standerd by now, as well as being non-RGB or having RGB be optional by not pluging in the USB/having the abilty to turn it on or off. I don't really go for RGB a whole lot.

I tried to keep it as close to the lower end of your budget as possible, but this would be a really solid upgrade for your system, especially for the type of work you'll be doing. You could save some money on the CPU, but if you can afford this much, there's no reason to.

Would you know if the Intel Core i7-7700K would be compatible with the motherbord you are suggesting?

Not even remotely. Why would you need it to be?
