I currently have an Aorus 2080 Super that I have been using for a little over a year now. I recently won the Newegg shuffle and bought an ASRock Phantom Gaming RX 6700XT. I had to buy it bundled with a motherboard. I'm going to build my son a pc since I have an extra Ryzen 5 3600 and some other extra stuff laying around. I want to keep the better card for myself though as he is 12 and only really plays Roblox, Minecraft, and many other non demanding games. I mainly use my pc for gaming.

So; whatever you use, 'son' gets the other one?

What resolution/refresh rate do you favour for gaming, or - in simpler terms - what monitor do you have?

Current PC spec. in my profile.
Can I realistically call myself a gamer, if I only play ONE, twenty year old game...?

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

Both cards are OP for that Dell 27" monitor (1440p/60, if Dell's site is correct).  It 'seems' to only support G-Sync, so would probably be better suited to the 2080.

If the 1440p/144 monitor is happy w/ Freesync, then there's your 'pairing'.

EDIT:

Ugh... "search fail"; that link took me to a Latvian page, for some reason.

Yes, the model no. takes me to a 1440p/144 monitor, but the question will still be "Freesync support".

Yeah I agree... The monitor is kinda old but It works great. I been thinking about upgrading. Maybe I should upgrade and give him this monitor.

Does 'sons' monitor have Freesync...?  May boil down to something as simple as that.  🤔
