240 hz question

can i run 240 hz using a dp male (into the monitor) and a hdmi male (into the laptop)

or a hdmi male (into the laptop) and a dp female (using a different dp 2.0 or a 1.4)

you mean dp to hdmi? yes it can work using a correct cable/adapters

but are you need or can really using a 240hz monitor full performance with your laptop?

i dont know you have to ask yourself

 

and little off topic what is the display and laptop your going to use, and for what?

What is the HDMI port type on the laptop? What's it's the dp type on the monitor?

and hdmi 2.0 i think idk how to check and the dp type on the mon is 1.4
