I posted this a few weeks ago, but it has now changed a lot and I need more help.

Budget (including currency): Around $2500 (but willing to get what is needed)

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Davinci Resolve and Adobe Creative Suite

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Current List: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/tracianna/saved/KgLBLk

Im trying to finalize my build (first one ever) for video editing/vfx. I have never had a desktop before, but want to have it to do freelance work more efficiently. I already have the monitor, HDD, SSD, RAM, CPU cooler, and Graphics card.

Am I better off getting a 970 evo plus 2tb or 980 pro 2tb? Does this listing seem legit: https://www.ebay.com/itm/353522258320#shpCntId

For the HDD, I might just sell it and then build a NAS next year. The model of 3080 seems like overkill for what I need, but it was the last one Micro Center had (got it for $1,159) and I was taking whatever I could get. I almost traded vouchers with someone for a EVGA 3070 for half the price. While in line, a guy talked me into getting a 10850k instead of 5950x.

Is there anything I should change or sell and get something different?

Are you able to tell me why?

• Enermax isn't great with coolers. This one from Corsair should do the trick.

• Contradicting that statement, Enermax actually does quite well with power supplies; I'd recommend this one personally, but you'd also be safe with equivalent units from Corsair, EVGA, and Seasonic.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DbxzTJ Went a little over budget, would really recommend to go with ryzen, its performing a good amount better, absolutely worth the extra 150 bucks in my opinion. Didnt add windows because you can get it for 20 bucks (its legal). Everything is pretty much as cheap as you can go wizhout any compromises
