Hi,

I tried resetting my PC, but faced this error - 'There was a problem resetting your PC. Undoing changes'. Then, I tried logging into safe mode; it failed too. Apart from that, I used several things - from cmd commands to startup repair option. And, as expected everything failed.

Then, using Windows Media Creation Tool, I reinstalled Windows 10 (without resetting everything). It went well. But, now, I am again stuck with a boot loop (see the image attached; grabbed from Google, but that's the same issue I have been facing).

Please help. I have a few important documents too, that's why I don't want to clean my drive. Thanks.

Try going into BIOS, go to Boot order option. Then tap on add file, select your boot drive, go through various directories to find boot64.exe or something like that. Select that file, give it a name, put it on top in boot order and try booting from that. I have a similar problem with my Alienware and this is what I do.

You could burn a linux distro onto a usb drive, that is if you have access to another computer, boot into that. Then recover your files. After that you can do a clean format and reinstall Windows.

Hey, that's how I was able to re-install Windows i.e. after I changed boot order from UEFI, but I never tried finding the specific file - boot64.exe.

After I posted this discussion, my PC has booted up. But, I think my D drive (partition) is now RAW. Is this normal?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, one of my friends suggested using Linux based method too, but I have no knowledge of Linux so I didn't try it.

Just a heads-up, my PC has booted up. But, I can't access my D partition (I think it's RAW now; I believe it should be NTFS).

It was working totally fine before this... and yeah, I have all my files on that partition.

So, how can I revert it to NTFS w/o formatting it or deleting any file?

Thanks.
