Budget (including currency): $1200, some flexibility

Country: Alaska, USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Esports gaming while streaming, and light video editing for my garbage YT channel

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): my planned pc:

My requirements are RGB, I also want the parts to be white, if possible. I got the graphics card for free. I’m also aware I overpaid for the SSD.

Terrible ssd it is super slow and not recommended as a main drive at best cold storage.

A lot of money wasted on astheatics so I made changes to still keep it like you want BUT save you money AND give you more rgb stuff.

I like it, the only reason I went for an 850w psu was because I was planning to buy a 3080 after stock issues. I also like the rgb ram. I probably will go for the cheaper psu. Is there an advantage to the case you chose?

If you already own your own system, you can do it for way cheaper. But if you dont you can use this for both stream and your game.

More rgb and more airflow for the case.

What is the i like it to? If it is the ssd I really really really urge you to not do it as these drive die WAY quicker than normal ssds and these are made for cold storage not frequent access as a windows boot drive you wreck it to bits and it is ungodly slow at times (genuinely slower than a hdd).

The kit you picked is good to go.

They wanted white and rgb. These are neither. Also the rx580 will most likely not be used for encoding so a better cpu than the i5 is for sure needed for encoding.

Everything for power, not my fault that the law of supply and demand makes white computer parts unobtainium expensive at low end. And i do agree that RX580 VCE is hot trash for stream and i dont recommend it, but if OP is willing to save up for a GPU, that base PC alone is good even with a 580, just not streaming.

White components are always at a premium so I tried my best to make it work. Op can EASILY get a 5900x if they want to ditch some of the white stuff but that is up to them.

I know, but shortages make it to where I can’t get a better one so I’m just going to try this for know.

You don't need a white PSU as they aren't even visible. Maybe get white cable sleeves but don't pay a $50 premium for a white PSU.

Didn’t think about that, will make adjustment.

Probably will if it’s in stock, I know the 5800X isn’t a great value but it’s the only one consistently in stock.

new list, made adjustments:

How’s that?

Those cables are NOT COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR PSU AT ALL. You will fry your system if you use those as they are for a silverstone unit. Also for that money a 850w revolution D.F. is an option and that will allow you to run a 3080 if you ever want one.

Also the white rad will be mostly obstructed by the fans so you could get a far cheaper unit and just put some white sleeving on the tubes if you want to save some money.

The 5900x is the smart option here as you will pretty much be encoding on the cpu since amds fast gpu encode implementation is pretty crap quality.
