Controlling this app is easy, except for one odd thing:

The graph shows that the EQ is not fully linear, and instead attempts to achieve a more "natural" flow that causes a number of issues as a result. Unless I'm just that tired, I haven't been able to find a way to modify this behavior. I'm fairly new to audio mixing & such, so if anyone knows of a solution to this, please let me know.

Audacity's graph for reference on what I'm aiming for:

Filters never actually achieve something that looks like your 2nd pic with perfect corners, it's just a representation. The first is what's actually going to happen. APO just shows the real thing to you.

But there is a noticeable difference between the two. APO's output is riddled with static and pops, while the Audacity filter is pretty much perfectly smooth. Would it have something to do with real-time mixing errors?

Static and pops wouldn't come from the filter settings but some issues with the driver/outputs/buffers.

Funny that you mentioned that, because right afterwards the software basically killed my mic and I had to manually shut down every audio program on my system to remove it... I think I'll just stay away from that now.
