Coloured squares.

My initial guess would be that your video card maybe failing or your overclock is set too high.

 

 

I was playing some shogun 2 today and I noticed some random squares that were messed up, weh I went to my desk top there were some green, blue and purple squares that had scattered dots, waht casued this?

CPU would not cause the artifacts, the squares you are experiencing.

 

Is your video card overclocked? if so, set the card back to default and see if you still receive artifacts.

 

My Cpu had been running pretty high for a while, at 3.8 it's a 3.5 cpu but it was only at ~50 degrees.

I haven't overclocked anything, I sent my PC into NCIX for repairs, since it is still under their warranty, The tech said it is probably a failing video card.

artifacting is usually caused by a fault with the memory or memory controller on the gpu.
