Windows delays?

Hi everyone,

 

I have a problem with my freshly new installed Windows 7 Ultimate. After all updates/ service pack update it has become terribly slow. most of the time it has a huge delay. Also when i play counterstrike the whole pc Freezes. What could it be?

please post what components you have in this computer.

 

Have you done a virus scan lately?

4 gigs DDR2

That might be part of the problem.  I bet the HDD is also only a 5400RPM drive?

Other spare hypervisors: Dell Poweredge 2950, HP Proliant DL380 G5

Laptops: ThinkPads, lots of ThinkPads
