1: Budget $2000-$3000 (USD) it’s fine to go slightly over

2: Main purposes for the build is for work, gaming, occasional streaming, video editing

Games Played: Warzone, Cold War, Rocket League, Valorant, Apex Legends Minecraft, GTA 5, The Witcher 3, Skyrim

Editing software: Adobe Premiere and Aftereffects

3: Monitor/s

Currently running 2 monitors. The main monitor is 24” 1080p 240Hz, the other is a basic one. I plan to replace it with a 4k OLED monitor mostly for video consumption/rendering. Might add a 3rd in the future.

Conclusion: I currently have certain parts picked out with a white overall theme. I’m going to list the parts that I was considering and I’d love some pointers to see if there are any compatibility issues. I’ve built computers before with others, but this will be my first solo build.

Might have a company preference....also I’m more than willing to change out any of the parts as long as it still fits the theme

CPU: i7-10700K

CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i CAPPELIX 75 CFM (White)
Motherboard: Asus PRIME Z490-A ATX LGA1200

Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32 GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 3600 CL18 (White)

Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB x 2

GPU: Asus GeForce RTX 3080 ROG STRIX (White), with how the market is this is probably impossible or close to it

Case: Corsair 5000D Airflow, this case was the original inspiration to the build

Power Supply: 850W Corsair RMx (White)

Case Fans: Corsair iCue QL120 3-pack, looking back on the included parts I believe that I’d need an RGB fan controller since there’d be around 6-8 fans in the case

A 5900X offers much better Premiere Pro performance. It is also a decent gaming chip.

If you are going to stick with Intel, go with 11th gen.

While the Samsung 980 drives will work in a Z490 motherboard they will do so at PCIe 3.0 speeds. Not the PCIe 4.0 speeds they are capable of.

I'd suggest memory with lower CL. For Intel cpu, ddr4-3200 is fine.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
