Currently when i use my desktop it will randomly freeze and disconnect all connected devices e.g. mouse, keyboard and headset will all lose power. If I unplug the devices nothing changes and they continue to not work. I have to hold power and restart each time this happens, It happens at random intervals and more often when the PC is warm/hot leading me to believe it is overheating but not shutting off and freezing instead?

Apart from the basic first steps of troubleshooting has anyone encountered this problem or have any suggestions? I do not use the PC very often and it just randomly started one day.

Cant remember my exact specs, heres the best i can give.

i7 7700

32gb DDR4

ASUS motherboard

ASUS FE 1080ti

Samsung EVO SSD

WD HDD

Download some sort of HWmonitor or CPUID that can show you your temps, check the temps when crashing but from the looks of it i don`t think its the temp (because like you said normally it would shut down).

Have you tried clean system install?

Updating BIOS software?
