Bad power supply

So I've  been doing some research and I have a 600w builder psu ATX and found out it is really bad, constantly I hear coil whine and thinking of getting a corsair 850 rm. So I don't get a headache every day is that a good idea?

Assuming its the Greylabel RM850. Yes. 

 

 

There is an ongoing scam with retailers for some reason listing really really old and poor corsair powersupplies. (Presumably returns) 

 

RM orange label being one of them. 

 

Idk what other offerings you have available

Yeah it's just for a starter psu until putting a new gpu in it's not delivering enough juice!

Ryzen 7 2700x, rx 580 8gb but thinking of going with 750w actually

650w is plenty for that rig, even 550w.
