WTF Windows Easy Transfer?!

Go to solution Solved by ohJey,

Just drag and drop to the 3tb and reinstall windows

I need to transfer all my files from both my 120gb SSD's to my 3TB HDD because I'm getting a better SSD for my boot drive and I heard about windows easy transfer. I have Windows 8.1 and these are the only two options I can choose. So I can't transfer anything FROM this PC only TO this PC. Really sucks, what do I do?

It can't be that easy, can it?

It is as long as you take the time to put everything back where it was after

but, don't think all your programs will work after a drag and drop, you will need to reinstall some programs because of the registry edits they make

Linux "nerd".  If I helped you please like my post and maybe add me as a friend :)  ^_^!

Windows easy transfer requires a special cable and is only for wipe and load or side by side migration.

AKA - to a new PC or from a new PC.

you will need to drag all your personal files from the 120 to the 3TB and then install windows on the new SSD. you cannot move software.
