Trouble with system recognizing second drive

I just built my first computer today and everything works just fine except my second 2TB mechanical hardrive is not being recognized. I use a 250 SSD for my boot drive and it is working great I just can not get the mechanical drive to work. Any ideas?

Go to disk management in Windows and make a partition?

Make sure that both cables are properly connected at both sides and after that go to disk management and look for the drive, if the drive is not formated will not show up, you must format it.

If both things fail, RMA the drive or use it as paperweight.
