New system advice.

Hi There[]

 

I am looking to replace my  2018 Alienware 17 R4.

Processor    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz   2.80 GHz
Installed RAM    16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)
System type    64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

It was good from the beginning but I had to have warranty repairs on the mobo, and wifi card.  Since then it over heats with my cpu regularly getting to 95 degrees when running games. I have taken it apart and tried several methods of re-applying thermal grease after buying Thermal Grizzly Paste. I was only able to get the temps to drop to 87 at my best. I even tried the application advice of LTT. Now it seems I cannot do anything to get it to drop to a playable temp and it often throttles itself.

 

I need a 17" screen and do not want to go backwards in performance. I do play graphic heavy games like cyberpunk but I don't need 4k.  I would like 2 TB in storage and at least what I have now, but I am lost when it comes to looking at computers right now. I don't want to lose money in the deal, lol, and I don't want bottom of the barrel. I use the laptop for gaming 99% of the time.

 

Does anyone have any advice in the form of link to systems I can just log in to and purchase? All the choices are overwhelming.

maybe to get better temps try to get a new cpu cooler any noctua one would do good or add a case fan or if its that bad you could get a aio

Any one else? I am looking for an answer for dummies. I really do get overwhelmed when shopping for parts.
