So I have this Acer Nitro VG270U 27’

IPS panel.

For a few weeks now I’ve had this issue where I get these fragmented lines on my screen? It doesn’t happen on my second monitor and disappears after a minute or two.

Provided is the link to a video that shows the issue.

I bought the monitor brand new a few months back, so I doubt the monitor is dying, and I don’t think it’s the graphics card since like I said, it only happens on my main monitor.

even if the screen is dying I’d love more insight as to what is actually happening here as I can’t find any answers anywhere else.

Thanks guys!

Have you tried another monitor cable? If on DP, try HDMI and opposite. 2. Temperature isn't over 40C right? If it is, then that might be your issue

What GPU is it? Sounds weird but could be the DP output, input in monitor.

also very frustrating to try and pinpoint, as this only occurs randomly

You did try another DP cable right? Certainly looks like a loose connection

i just diabled hardward accel for chrome, I do see this issue more when im watching a video, hoping for some results, although the imgur i posted is clearly of this issue happening on the desktop.. I'm wondering if having chrome simply minimized would cause this issue

Try creating a custom resolution at 140Hz, Maybe the monitor can't handle 144hz anymore.

I currently have looked thru most solutions at this point, I am currently investigating if my RAM has anything to do with it, as my computer is detecting my 24gigs of ram but only using 12.. I suspect this has something to do with it.. though it doesnt explain why it only happens on one (main) screen.. totally stumped.
