I have post 1 topic on this before, when I'm not sure what's my case and my other components is, now that I have know exactly what's what I'm posting this again just to confirm - to see if anyone have any other suggestion before I actually going to buy it. So on with the usual stuff:

1. Budget & Location
Exactly 500$, no more than that. Location is Minnesota, USA

2. Aim
Gaming + Programming, a bit of video editing and modeling as well

3. Monitors
1, 21.5 inch Full HD, I do plan to have another sooner or later but that wont be until a few more years since I'm still moving around alot.

4. Peripherals
Nope, already have all I needed

5. Why are you upgrading?
Just upgrading the CPU and Mobo along with it, because the i5 2400 I've had prove to be not enough for anything at all... Also I run it on stock cooler so I'll buy another CPU Cooler as well. I do plan on OC the CPU.

So with that said, this is what I'm planning and what I already have. I go with the i7 4770k, not the i5 4670k because I figure if I already spending money to upgrade, better go with the best one I can get now so it will last longer.

Oh BTW, there's 2 note on pcpartpicker like this

  • icon_info_sgl.gifCougar Archon ATX Mid Tower Case and Cooler Master Seidon 120V 86.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler compatibility could not be evaluated.
  • icon_info_sgl.gifKingston HyperX 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Haswell CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.

For the first one I take a look at my case and I think it's ok since the Seidon is small enough and I havent even use the front fan slots in my case yet, but the 2nd note make me concern a little bit because I'm not really familiar with RAM, so will it be ok? what's 1866 anyway?

Looks fine. The RAM thing isn't an issue, PCPartspicker is just a tad annoying about it.

You're all good.

I would change the cooler, to perhaps a Hyper 212+ EVO. You'll likely get better performance, and you'll save some money.

Damn, my friend is bugging me alot about alot of choices for the CPU cooler, and the review I read of the Seidon 120v is not good, and as the store in which I'm going to buy all this agree to buy back my old mobo and CPU, I'm going to make some changes:

CPU Cooler: probably a H100i or the NZXT Kraken X60 98.3 Liquid CPU Cooler, heck I'm going with the 240mm option now

Case: because of the CPU Cooler I will have to change the case as well, probably to a Full Tower, so as my Mobo is already red and black all over, I think I will go with the Azza CSAZ-XT1 B ATX Full Tower Case, the cheapest good looking enough Full Tower Case I can find...

Any comment on this change?
