What CPU to choose

Hi, I wanna buy a laptop and I found two. The single difference between them is the CPU, one has R5 4600U and the other has R7 5700U. I searched them up on userbenchamrl and it shows that the performance of the R7 isn't that better than the R5 (the price difference is 100$). Should I go with the R5 or the R7?

Both are zen 2 from what I can read

The 5700U comes with 2 additional cores, which is 8c/16t

Slightly higher boost clocks

Better iGPU, nice if you don't have dGPU

 

So I'd say it's overall a better chip, but whether if it'll benefit you depends on what you use it for and what's the overall specs (ie dGPU? Built quality?)

The 5700U has slightly better single core perf, dramatically better multicore perf, and a much better iGPU, which varies in importance depending on whether the laptops have dedicated graphics or not.

 

It's probably worth $100, but either is good.

 

Also, UserBenchmark is complete garbage. Nothing there should be taken with any degree of seriousness.
