What would work better

So I'm thinking of buying either :

MSI Z97 with Core I7 4790 and 16gb ddr3 ram

or

ASUS B150M , Core I5 6500 - Socket 1151 with  G.SKILL 16GB(2x8) RGB DDR4 3000 Mhz 1.35V.

I'm looking to play games like Rust and Escape from tarkov which are both cpu intensive games I already have gtx 970.

get the msi97 and i7, the i7 performs better than the i5, the i7 supports hyper threading, the i5 does not, the i7 is 4 cores 8 threads, the i5 is 4 cores 4 threads, get the msi 97 and i7 combo

hyper threading will give you way more fps because of the threads

the ram will not play a huge factor in gaming performance, it really wont matter what task, there is little to no performance differance
