Hi, so I have been building this pc for a couple of months now, and as it would be finished it just wont post. Fans are spinning, mobo lights are on but nothing else.

Specs:

Asus PRIME B450M-A

Ryzen 5 2600

Gigabyte GTX 670 (damn shortages)

2x8GB G.Skill Ripjaws V

Some older 600W Cooler Master PSU

The problem is, that separately all of the components seem to be working just fine. I have swapped the ram, and the gpu as well. They should be fine. The mobo and cpu have been sent back to the retailer for checkup but no problems were found then. Anyone any thoughts? 😩

Unplug everything except the cpu, ram and GPU.

Hook up the 24 pin ATX and 4/8 pin cpu power. Then plug in the display cable and try to post. (Make sure no other cables are plugged into the monitor)

PSU Tier List   AMD Mobo Tier List   SSD Tier List

If your issue is resolved, please share the fix with the community.

Thanks for your answer, sadly it didn’t work either.

did you just try one DIMM of memory in the A2 slot?

bios updated  to latest avaliable for MOBO?

Does the GFX card sag at all?

I have tried one stick of ram in all slots one by one.

I do not know, how to check mobo bios, however the guy who i bought it from sent it back to a computer service and they told me it should be fine. Could you tell em how to check it myself?

And sorry I dont understand what "sag" means. But if the question is if it works or not, it did before. I used to have it in an FX based setup before.

sag means does the graphics card look sort of crooked when its seated as unlikely as it is but a unstable connection between the pins could cause a no post

I also read the manual for your board is there no way to diagnose post errors like a little LED or calculator type screen?

The gpu seems fine to me, sadly the mobo has no indicators, except for the small speaker, however that does not beep at all either. (It works for sure tho, i tried it by removing all ram)
