Building new PC

Budget (including currency):

Country:

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

So I was planning on using this components for my new build. Does this seem alright or should I change some things? And I was also planning on overclocking the CPU with this cooler. Is this one good enough?

Case: NZXT H511 white

CPU: Intel i5-10600KF

CPU Cooler: be quiet! Shadow Rock 3

Motherboard: MSI Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI

RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 Patriot 3600MHz VIPER Steel

NVME: 512GB Patriot VPN100 M.2

HDD: 2000GB SATA 6GB/s 5400rpm WD Blue WD20EZAZ

GPU: 6GB ZOTAC RTX2060 Gaming

Power Supply: 650W Corsair RM650x

If you like that white look, Corsair 4000D AIRFLOW would be a much better choice.

There's also a black version.

@PJM.Chicken

Yeah, many cases look like they were designed by a 12-year old kid with adhd. So, in terms of looks they're all pretty bad.

But technically you need to look for a case with great airflow, preferably one with a front panel made of mesh (preferably metal, not plastic).

The be quiet! Pure Base 500 dx meets this requirement.

Same for the Fractal Meshify one, it was even given an award for the best PC case.

But yeah, they don't look too great.

Anyway, avoid cases that have too few vents or block hot air inside the case too much.

Or, if you're buying a prebuilt you could take advantage of the discount on the internals and get a better case later.

A good case is about 90-100 bucks, but in Europe, they go for like 125 bucks because they're imported.

@PJM.Chicken

Well, the Meshify was ranked among the best PC cases by a review:

https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/fractal-design-meshify-2-compact

And the be quiet was considered among the quietest.

https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/be-quiet-pure-base-500dx

It's your choice which you like best.

Personally, I don't like either of them, but technically they seem like good cases, with good airflow.

Some cases look good but have awful airflow, others have great airflow and look like turds.

You just have to find a compromise you find acceptable between functionality and looks.

Idk if this is a good case, but i could also take the msi mag forge 100m, bc its a lot cheaper and i could then switch the case a bit later

@PJM.Chicken

If you're planning on replacing this case that will come with the prebuilt, does it really matter which one you pick now? As long as it has good airflow and it helps keep temperatures down, why not.

Though swapping cases later might need a bit of work, depending on the setup.
