Laptop Repasting

Hey Guys, Just A Quick Question Here Since I Don't Know If I'm Doing The Right Thing Or Wasting My Time.

 

When You Personally Buy A New Laptop, Do You Repaste The CPU Before You Even Use It? My Logic Being That Manufacturers Are Know For Doing "Amazing" Jobs On Applying Thermal Paste And It Never Seems To Be Decent Quality. I Just Bought A G14 With The Ryzen 9 And Was Curious If It Was A Waste Of My Time And Supplies To Repaste A New CPU And GPU..

 

Cooling Massively Erks Me... I Like Having My Stuff Run Cool.

Why would you risk damaging your new laptop and potentially voiding your warranty over negligable gain?

No laptop with a Ryzen 9 comes with an excessively sized cooler. Good laptop design involves closely matching the cooler with the CPU, to eliminate bulk while providing adequate performance.

 

If you want your chips to run cool, build a desktop with a cooler you specify.
