Budget (including currency): US$1500-$2000

Country: U.S.A.

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Will be used for gaming, mostly midrange games, but touching some higher end ones. The most graphically intensive being like Hunt Showdown and various VR games (for which I have an oculus rift-s). It will also be used to pursue a CS degree, and whatever programming intensive tasks that entails (which I admit, I am ill-informed of).

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

This is the current list I am working with, I took some time out to make sure these parts were generally good for what I wanted in the build, but I may have made some errors along the way. I wanted it to be a somewhat smaller PC so that it is easy transport than a normal mid-tower size desktop. This PC is something I wanted to build to simply have a smaller inherently less powerful PC than the one I have at home, which is prebuilt (this being my first PC build). I was looking for something that would work with two monitors, one gaming and the other most likely running some video. I was thinking this would be a good PC for 1440p/60, but could easily settle for 1080p/60. I thought about venturing into trying higher hertz monitors, but didn't want to end up with lower frames than 144 and feeling like I had wasted my money on the monitor. Finally, my budget is genuinely very flexible, as long as it does what I am looking for without going extremely overboard. I am most certainly not looking for a gaming beast computer. Any and all responses are extremely appreciated!

I am perfectly comfortable with really any case design wise, all I look for in one is the size to be small enough that I can comfortably transport it maybe every 3 or so months with ease. If I can get an even smaller motherboard I wouldn't be opposed to it, so long as it doesn't affect performance. Though from what I have seen online generally when you get to that size cooling and part size can become a real issue, I can definitely be wrong though!
